Naar verluidt zou dankzij de wereldtentoonstelling van Parijs in 1900 de Art Nouveau stroming internationaal doorbreken.  Drie jaar voor deze tentoonstelling was er de internationale tentoonstelling van Brussel waar enkele belangrijke protagonisten van deze stroming al aan deelnamen.  CVSL, bewust van de nieuwe tendenzen, had een stand in de Belgische sectie.

The World Fair of 1900 in Paris is known amongst other things for the international promotion of the Art Nouveau style.  Three years before an international exhibition was held in Brussels.  Some of the most influential actors of this style participated in this event.  CVSL, very much aware of the new tendencies, was one of the exhibitors in the Belgian section of the event.

Hofstade-Bad

Breng een bezoek aan het virtuele Hofstade-Bad van de jaren dertig.  Het centrale thema van het amusementspark met als naam "Oud-België" was gebaseerd op de attractie "Oud-België", een onderdeel van de antwerpse editie van de internationale tentoonstelling in 1930.

The theme of old belgian villages was often used for attractions to represent Belgium at international fairs.  In 1933 an amusement park opened in Hofstade with the same name ("Oud-België") as the attraction of the Antwerp edition of the 1930 international fair.  Please pay us a visit.

De Expo 1930 webstek is niet ter beschikking voor onderhoud wekelijks op zaterdag tussen 8 en 12 uur (centraal europese tijd).  Indien de site niet beschikbaar is kan je ons op een later tijdstip een bezoekje brengen.

Expo 1930 verhuist naar zijn web server.  Deze week kunnen er zich problemen voordoen tijdens uw bezoek.  De migratie zal tegen 4 november afgelopen zijn.
